Hey everyone,
Greetings from Bobby Hawk land. It feels like this year has zipped by and it’s nice to take a night off and reflect. I’ve been fortunate to get to work with Jack Antonoff over the past few years, and this year we worked on Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, and Doja Cat’s records together. It is honestly a bit surreal and an honor to get to make music at such a high level. Oh, and I have a recording coming out October 30th called Bobby Hawk: Westward Leaning

Here are some upcoming shows I have as we approach the end of the year. The first two shows feature my band Ad Hawk where we do completely improvised groovy music that you can check out here
November 2nd is at my favorite venue to perform at called Bar Lunatico https://www.barlunatico.com
This will feature three of my favorite musicians: Jeremy Gustin on drums, Jacob Drab on guitar, and Mike LaValle on bass. We will have sets at 9 pm and 10:30 pm. They have great food and cocktails, get there early for a table!

Club Groove This will be a completely improvised set of music featuring Mike Robinson, Chris Parker, Bill Campbell, and Jacob Drab. It is a treat to sit on the band stand with these fine gentlemen. Don’t miss it!

I’ll be doing the annual Ally Coalition show with Bleachers on December 15th, and you can get tickets here. Bleachers are some of my oldest friends in NYC and always a joy to get to play music with them.
Lastly, I hope everyone can find their own piece of peace in the world. Humans are confusing as hell, and I am mostly scratching my head at what motivates us. Things feel like a god damn joke with all the dumpsters on fire, but I hope everyone can pull their family and friends closer.
We need to focus on the good things we see in the world everyday; create our own news stories. Life is fast and I feel so fucking fortunate that I’ve gotten to do any of this. Magic still exists and I hope to be beside you as we witness it together. Bobby
